LEDGER · FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE
A record that remembers why, not only how much.
Financial software is good at storing numbers and poor at keeping the reason behind them. LEDGER is built so the record, the document and the decision stay attached to each other.
- Entities and tax context
- Classified transactions
- Invoices and settlement
- Continuity of context
A small real core today, and a clear direction beyond it.
A demonstration of the product direction. LEDGER is in active internal development.

WHAT IT IS FOR
Continuity between the document and the decision.
The number in a report came from an invoice, which came from a transaction, which came from a decision somebody made for a reason. Most systems keep the first and lose the last. LEDGER is built to keep the chain.
WHO IT IS FOR
People answerable for the numbers.
- Company ownersOne record instead of four spreadsheets.
- Finance teamsTransactions classified consistently, not per person.
- Accounting workEntities, tax context and invoices in the same place.
- ManagementFinancial context that survives the meeting.
- OperationsWork whose cost is visible while it is happening.
WHAT IS REAL TODAY
A small core that exists, and a larger direction that does not yet.
LEDGER has the thinnest implemented surface of the products with code. Saying so is part of the point.
Entity records
ImplementedCompanies are kept once and retrieved, not re-typed per document.
Record keeping. Not full accounting.
Tax status per entity
ImplementedEach entity carries its VAT position with it.
One fiscal attribute, not a tax engine.
Classification
ImplementedWork and cost are classified against a shared set of categories.
Transactions
ImplementedTransactions are recorded, retrievable and removable.
No bank reconciliation.
Invoices and settlement
ImplementedInvoices are issued and marked settled inside the same record.
Settlement is a record, not a payment. No money moves through LEDGER.
Continuity and traceability of decisions
DirectionThe reason behind a number kept with the number.
No decision trail is demonstrated yet.
Financial and economic analysis
DirectionReading the record, not only storing it.
No analysis engine was found in the repository.
Memory and orchestration from the core
DirectionLEDGER using the same memory and orchestration as the rest.
The wiring is not in place yet.
Demonstrated: effect verified by a gate. Implemented: canonical code, wired. Partial: exists, with the limit stated. Direction: the goal, not a delivered capability.
BUILT ON THE ELDER
What the core is meant to contribute.
The direction is for LEDGER to draw on the same core as every other product rather than keep a second truth.
- MemoryFinancial context that does not reset.
- OrchestrationRecords reached by the other products, not copied.
- Governed authorityNothing financial moves without the Owner.
- AuditWhat changed, and on whose authority.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
The limits, said plainly.
This list matters more here than anywhere else on the site.
- LEDGER does not provide accounting compliance, financial advice or audit.
- There is no bank integration and no payment processing. Settlement marks a record.
- No fiscal authorisation of any kind is claimed.
- Absolute accuracy is not claimed. The record is only as good as what enters it.
- No client, figure or result from real work is shown here.
STATE OF THE DEMONSTRATION
What this page is.
This page presents the direction of LEDGER and the small record keeping core that already exists as working code.
It is not a commercial offer, and most of what is described above is direction rather than delivered capability.
